A donation from the Mayor of the city of Montierchaume

At the invitation of Mr Michel LENGLET, Mayor of Montierchaume, the president of “Les Amis de La Martinerie“ ended up in the Montierchaume city hall to sign a peculiar donation document.

With the approval of the city council, the Mayor of Montierchaume donated 4 riffles which were previously displayed on the walls of the city hall.

This lot consists of:

- a Lebel 1886/M93 riffle with its bayonet
- a model 45, MAS, 5.5 riffle
- a 1830 riffle with its bayonet (Manufacture de Tulle)
- a 1830 riffle with its bayonet and its ramrod (Manufacture de Saint-Etienne)

The specialists from our association will now do some research about these weapons and they will be soon displayed in “la maison départementale de la mémoire militaire” on the “la Martinerie” site.

“Les Amis de La Martinerie” would like to thank Mr LENGLET and the members of the city council for their trust and support to our association.

See you soon at “La Martinerie”
