Renovation of a stele

February 2018, Didier Patureau de Mirand asked us to keep the stele commemorating the sacrifice of his uncle, captain Raoul Patureau-Mirand, who was killed in air combat over la Charité sur Loire, and we gladly accepted his proposition.

This stele, already in bad shape, had just been replaced by the “Souvenir Français de La Nièvre”.

February 2021, the family donated the Casoar, the hat, the jacket and various element of captain Patureau-Mirand’s uniform.

Later in 2021, Daniel Jalu, member of the “Les Amis de La Martinerie” board of directors, decided to renovate that plaque and restore the writing.

After more than 30 hours of intense work, the plaque is finally ready to be displayed.

Thank you, Daniel, for the quality of your work.
