Continuing their campaign to share their exhibition on the military barracks of the Indre department, “ Les Amis de La Martinerie” (Friends of La Martinerie) set up shop for a week at the “Espoir Soleil” Retirement Village, a charming little community established in 1974 within the larger, vibrant village of Luçay-le-Mâle.
It was thanks to the initiative of Roger VIRAUD, Vice-President of the association that manages the village, and member of “Les Amis de La Martinerie”, that we found ourselves at this location. It is a haven of peace and conviviality, comprising 84 individual bungalows that offer a perfect blend of independence and support.
During the exhibition opening, we had the pleasure of meeting Claude Doucet (Departmental Councilor, representing President Marc Fleuret), Bruno Taillandier (Mayor of Luçay-le-Mâle), Annick Brossier (President of the Community of Communes), and Jean-Pierre Rabier and Charlotte Dumas (President and Director of the Retirement Village, respectively) along with Isabelle Facon, the village’s dynamic Activities Coordinator.
Our thanks go to Bruno, Dominique, Jean-Jacques, Martial, and Yves, our dedicated volunteers, and to Jean-Claude, one of our members, who stopped by to visit us.
