Down to 8 members, the adherents of the “Union des Anciens Combattants” of Buzançais decided on March 9th 2020, to disband their association. This group of veterans was initially founded on March 16th, 1929 by World War I veterans and few veterans from the Franco-Prussian war of 1870.
They were later joined by World War II, Indochina and AFN (French North Africa) veterans. During their last meeting, they decided to hand over to the “Amis de La Martinerie” their flags to be showcased in our flag room and also donate 300 Euros to our association.
This consignment was finalized on Wednesday, July 22nd by the signature of an agreement between our two groups and was followed by a tour of our premises and a small reception.
