As part of the "academic triad" partnership, second-year students from the MEEF (Primary Education) Master’s program at INSPE Châteauroux took part in a half-day training session at the “Maison Départementale de la Mémoire Militaire” (Departmental Military Memory Center).
The program featured a presentation on the ORION 2026 exercise by the Departmental Military Delegate (DMD), followed by several discussion workshops: the "spirit of defense" with Lieutenant-Colonel Grégory Erouard; resilience with Jean-François Touzet (IHEDN 36); and the duty of remembrance and the "citizenship pathway" (“parcours citoyen”) for students with Laurent Blonsard, principal of the Buzançais middle school. These exchanges enabled the future teachers to consider concrete pedagogical approaches for addressing these topics in the classroom.
The morning continued with a tour of the museum, giving students the chance to discover a local educational resource they can utilize in their future teaching projects.
It was an event rich in discovery, reflection, and dialogue, all in the service of shaping the citizens of tomorrow.
A big thank you to David Catel, Director of INSPE Châteauroux, for his commitment to fostering a spirit of remembrance among his students year after year.
